Levitating Garden

The competition is held by Keelung City, a major port city situated in the northeastern part of Taiwan, to restore and revive historical buildings. In the past, the lack of flat lands in the city center leaded to its narrow development; consequently, the waterways were replaced with man-made lands and constructions. 

​

This proposal is to create a greenway for the citizens. At the first stage, the commercial building over the waterway will be converted to an elevated linear park and art village, which is open to the public. The final goal is to recovery the river landscape and sustain the natural environment.
